Lafayette had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They never let the Sunset Park HEAT get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2022.

Lafayette now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Sunset Park, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lafayette will take on Petrides on Wednesday. As for Sunset Park, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on South Shore at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
