The Discovery Canyon Thunder will venture away from home to face off against the Rampart Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Rampart will be up against a hot Discovery Canyon squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. The Thunder put the hurt on The Vanguard School with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday.
Discovery Canyon was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-17, 25-17.

Discovery Canyon relied on the efforts of Bradley Hocking, who had 22 assists and three digs, and Joseph Dang, who had seven digs and two assists. Hocking has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more assists the last three times he's played.
Coronado typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Rampart proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Cougars 3-0. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on four straight.
While Rampart might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Coronado scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-20, 25-23.
Discovery Canyon pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Rampart, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's contest: Discovery Canyon hasn't let much over the net this season, having averaged 5.4 blocks per game. However, it's not like Rampart struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6 blocks. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Discovery Canyon came out on top in a nail-biter against Rampart in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunder since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
