The Brooke Point Black Hawks can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. Everything went their way against Riverbend as Brooke Point made off with a 65-44 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Brooke Point has posted since December 1, 2023.
Brooke Point's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Demabior Shokai, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Shokai scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Roman, who scored 14 points.
Brooke Point's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.5 points per game. As for Riverbend, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.
Brooke Point will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Stafford at 6:30 p.m. As for Riverbend, they will head out on the road to challenge Massaponax at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Massaponax presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Riverbend in Virginia (Massaponax is ranked 67th, while Riverbend is ranked 309th).
