Scarborough has gone 9-1 against Biddeford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Red Storm will challenge the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Scarborough will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
Scarborough is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Maine's top teams: Gorham, who was ranked 17th at the time (Scarborough was ranked eighth). The Red Storm's pitcher stepped up to hand the Rams a 3-0 shutout on Saturday. The Red Storm's pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last five games.
Gorham's batters probably weren't too happy with Erik Swenson, who pitched a no hitter and racked up nine Ks (he gave up zero walks). Swenson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Scarborough's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Fallona, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Fallona has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.
Meanwhile, Biddeford was able to grind out a solid victory over Bonny Eagle on Friday, taking the game 5-0. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Scots: they've now won six in a row.
The result came thanks to Ernie Dore's shutout, as he gave up just four hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gavin Haggett, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Landon Sirois, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Biddeford's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Scarborough, their record is now 8-0.
Scarborough was able to grind out a solid victory over Biddeford in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Storm since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
