The Jensen Beach Falcons were the 50-48 winner over the Okeechobee Brahmans when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Jensen Beach fell to Okeechobee 42-36. Jensen Beach has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jensen Beach lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jason Curry jr., who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alan Pacheco, who scored nine points.
Corey Wilkerson was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points along with nine rebounds and three steals for Okeechobee. Wilkerson is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Oliver Saunders was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds.
Jensen Beach has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Okeechobee, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jensen Beach will take on St. Edward's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Edward's is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. As for Okeechobee, they will head out on the road to challenge Vero Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Vero Beach focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Wednesday.
