Shullsburg had won four straight games and Isabelle Wiegel did her part to make it five on Tuesday. Everything went the Miners' way against the Benton Zephyrs as they made off with a 3-0 victory thanks in part to Wiegel, who had ten digs and five aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

While Shullsburg won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-23, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Benton saw an underclassman step up: freshman Faith Auderer had nine digs.

Shullsburg's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Benton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.

Shullsburg will face off against Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Benton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
