Betsy Layne posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They breezed by Phelps on the road to the tune of 93-56.
Betsy Layne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Parsons, who scored 13 points along with two steals. Grayson Hall was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Martin County lost to Morgan County at home by a decisive 75-58 margin back in December of 2023. While losing is never fun, Martin County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Morgan County is ranked 30th).
Betsy Layne is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Martin County, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
