There's no place like home for Hillsboro, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on the Overton Bobcats with a sharp 15-3 victory on Monday. The Burros might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

Easton Ice made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Michael Gooch, Jr was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Hillsboro is undefeated when Gooch, Jr posts two or more runs, but 5-6 otherwise. Ben Clay was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Hillsboro pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Overton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hillsboro beat the Bobcats by a score of 10-1 on Tuesday.
