Softball Recap: Laughlin Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Laughlin waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Sandy Valley Sidewinders with a sharp 16-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won eight contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Laughlin's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Sandy Valley, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laughlin will challenge Lake Mead Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.88 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sandy Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pahranagat Valley at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Sidewinders will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last eight games.
