The Kingstree Blazers can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They strolled past Lee Central with points to spare, taking the game 63-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kingstree also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Kingstree got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mal'aki Matthews out in front who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Matthews pulled down eight or more rebounds. Trumaine Myers was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Lee Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kiauj Allen, who scored 16 points, and Rjay Spann who scored nine points along with six assists and two steals. Another player making a difference was Omari Rampasard, who scored four points along with two steals.
Kingstree's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Lee Central, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.
Kingstree does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lee Central also has no future games currently scheduled.
