There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. Among the action were the efforts of Pulaski Academy's junior Braden Bratcher, an offensive menace who scored seven total TDs.
Welcome
The power rankings welcomes a newcomer to the scene as Blytheville earned the 24th spot after its strong showing last week. It picked up a decisive 'W' against Forrest City, finishing up at 40 - 0. At 40 points, that marked Blytheville's largest margin of victory so far this year.
Can't Touch This
Pulaski Academy's 63 - 21 win over White Hall last week had a lot to do with the leadership of junior Braden Bratcher. Bratcher tossed the ball for 377 yards and seven TDs. That performance made Bratcher one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of last week's main attractions was the confrontation between Bryant and Conway, 2nd and 3rd in the power rankings, respectively. Bryant breezed past Conway with a final score of 40 - 10. Bryant did have the odds in its favor, but the team did even better than the MaxPreps national rankings indicated.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Catholic (17th in the power rankings) and Fayetteville (5th). The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games. Don't be surprised if the score for this one pushes triple digits as Fayetteville and Catholic both racked up points last week.
