Kim/Branson and the Bulldogs are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Kim/Branson Mustangs will be playing at home against the Primero Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Kim/Branson beat the Hornets 57-46.
Cameron Rosas and David Gamez were among the main playmakers for Kim/Branson as the former scored 19 points along with two steals and the latter scored 16 points along with four steals. It was the first time this season that Rosas scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolter Cranson, who scored six points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Primero made easy work of the Hornets on Saturday and carried off a 50-29 victory.
It was another big night for Mathew Pachorek, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. He also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Brett Kendal, who scored 23 points along with two steals.
Kim/Branson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Primero, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Kim/Branson was able to grind out a solid victory over the Bulldogs in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, winning 53-42. Will Kim/Branson repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
