After flying high against the Brownstown/St. Elmo Eagles last Friday, the Altamont Indians came back down to earth. Altamont took a 43-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tuscola on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Altamont has scored all season.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaidyn Miller, who scored six points along with 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aden McManaway, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Altamont's loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Tuscola, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Altamont will challenge St. Anthony at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Anthony is on a eight-game streak of home wins, Altamont a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Tuscola, they will head out on the road to take on Neoga at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tuscola is facing Neoga at the right time seeing as Neoga is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
