The Hawthorne Christian Academy Hawks will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Lighthouse Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Hawthorne Christian Academy was beaten by Victory Christian 71-41.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Clay Ballard, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Clinton, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Lighthouse Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Union Christian Day 43-37.
Hawthorne Christian Academy dropped their record down to 2-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Lighthouse Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Hawthorne Christian Academy was dealt a bruising 82-52 defeat at the hands of Lighthouse Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Hawthorne Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
