St. David has gone 9-1 against Valley Union recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Tigers will square off against the Blue Devils at 3:45 p.m. St. David knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Valley Union likes a good challenge.
St. David's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Baboquivari with a sharp 17-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won eight in a row.

Luke Haymore was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Cooper Merrill was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Emmitt Etter, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
St. David always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Valley Union hadn't done well against St. David recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Blue Devils came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 15-12. With that win, the Blue Devils brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Yahir Luna was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Moroney Flores, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI, one run, and one double.
The victory made it two in a row for Valley Union and bumps their season record up to 8-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for St. David, the victory got them back to even at 8-8-1.
St. David couldn't quite get it done against Valley Union in their previous meeting on Thursday as they fell 15-12. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
