Independence didn't get the result they wanted in their first contest with Piedmont Hills on Tuesday. Their rough 4-0 loss to Piedmont Hills might stick with them for a while. That's two games in a row now that Independence has lost by exactly four goals.
Meanwhile, James Lick has not won a game since December 16, 2023, a trend which continued on Thursday. They fell just short of Piedmont Hills by a score of 2-1.
Independence bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for James Lick, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-3.
Independence might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from James Lick in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Independence avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
