Having just played yesterday, the Parsippany Redhawks will head out on the road to face off against the Midland Park Panthers at 11:30 a.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Parsippany focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, Parsippany was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-52 to Butler. Parsippany has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Parsippany saw an underclassman step up: Thomas Niedermaier scored 19 points along with six steals. The game was Niedermaier's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Arthur Smith, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Midland Park, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-43 loss to Cresskill on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Midland Park can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Cresskill is ranked 12th).
Parsippany's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Midland Park, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.
