Angola hasn't had much luck against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Hornets will challenge the Saints at 1:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The result came thanks to Brady Warren's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Angola is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 9-13 otherwise.
At the plate, Angola saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Myles Steury, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger's hitters rose to the challenge against a Barons pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.23 runs allowed on Thursday. The Saints put the hurt on DeKalb with a sharp 11-1 victory. Considering the Saints have won 15 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Lucas Collins was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Braden Aguirre was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Eddie Miller was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .591. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Angola's record now sits at 11-14. As for Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger, their record is now 21-8.
