West Side entered their tilt with Concord on Tuesday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Pirates. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Ty Hewitt and Keegan Towell were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Hewitt pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Towell pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hewitt has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. At bat, Hewitt scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5, while Towell scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Bo Hipp was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brooks Hipp, who scored two runs while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

West Side always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

West Side pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Concord, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

West Side will welcome Rose Bud at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ramblers have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Concord, they will head out on the road to face off against Midland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
