CHASE's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 59-34 defeat at the hands of Bethany Christian. While losing is never fun, CHASE can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 657th, while the are ranked 234th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bethany Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Clayton Beachell, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and six assists. Beachell is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Andrew Loller was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
CHASE has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Bethany Christian, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
CHASE will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the at 6:30 p.m. As for Bethany Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against the at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
