The biggest upset of the week belonged to Thornton, who took down 56th ranked Thornton, 27-0.
Lincoln-Way North extended the longest winning streak in Southwest Suburban - Red this week by beating Stagg, 38-9. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Lincoln-Way North's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ryan Arthur threw for 27 yards and Conor McDonald had 27 yards receiving. On the ground Julian Hylton chipped in 166 yards.
Steven Stremme made the biggest impact on defense this week as George Czart's team topped the Chargers. The 5-foot-10 defensive lineman racked up two sacks.
Lincoln-Way North's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Phoenix feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Arthur has thrown for 886 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while McDonald has 28 catches for 318 yards. Hylton leads the league in rushing with 1152 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Thornwood takes on Lincoln-Way West. The Thunderbirds are in sixth place, while the Warriors are in second place.
Thornwood took down Thornridge 37-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
