Even though they lost, Alemany's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 51.5 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Alemany's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Michael Lindsay, who scored 25 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Jared Mims, who scored 16 points along with 4 steals.
South Pasadena's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Russell Williams led the charge by scoring 21 points along with 7 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least 25% of South Pasadena's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Oni Balogun, who scored 23 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Alemany and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for South Pasadena, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Alemany will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Cleveland at 3:45 p.m. on November 29th. As for South Pasadena, they will face off against Pasadena at 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Pasadena presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than South Pasadena in California (Pasadena is ranked eighth, while South Pasadena is ranked 54th).
