The Abbeville Yellowjackets extended their postseason success on Tuesday against the Ariton Purple Cats. They snuck past the Purple Cats with a 65-60 win. Winning may never get old, but Abbeville sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Ariton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Matthew McNair, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Lawson Leger, who scored 12 points.
Abbeville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9-1 record this season. As for Ariton, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-8.
