The Battle Ground Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Evergreen, falling 64-19. Battle Ground has not had much luck with Evergreen recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Marissa Loveall was Battle Ground's leading scorer, having posted seven points.
Haily Navarro held things down on the boards with nine rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Battle Ground dropped their record down to 3-14 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Evergreen, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-9 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Battle Ground and Union will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Union presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Battle Ground in Washington (Union is ranked 22nd, while Battle Ground is ranked 278th). Evergreen will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
