Valley Vista's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Diego Moorehead led the charge by scoring nine points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Cosio, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Valley Vista's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11. As for West Point, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4.
Valley Vista and Tolleson will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Rico Blassingame and Maximus Romero. As for West Point, they will head out on the road to face off against Maricopa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
