Spackenkill has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Pine Plains Bombers at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Pine Plains took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Spackenkill, who comes in off a win.
Spackenkill stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They really took it to Dover for the full four quarters, racking up a 86-36 win at home. Given Spackenkill's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while Dover is ranked 727th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Pine Plains' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They suffered a tough 56-31 loss at the hands of Onteora.
Spackenkill's victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Pine Plains, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Spackenkill strolled past Pine Plains in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 63-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spackenkill since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
