The Severn School Admirals will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bel Air Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Severn School's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Bel Air has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Last Friday, Severn School didn't have too much trouble with Bryn Mawr at home as they won 47-31.
Severn School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was KATIE MENTESANA, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that MENTESANA pulled down eight or more rebounds. LAYLA EPPS was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Bel Air suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by Edgewood on the road and fell 60-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bel Air has scored all season.
Severn School has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Bel Air, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
Severn School took their win against Bel Air in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 39-18. Does Severn School have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bel Air turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
