The High Island Cardinals will be playing at home against the Chester Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. High Island comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
High Island might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 1-0 to Brookeland, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
Meanwhile, Chester scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Leggett as Chester made off with a 54-31 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Chester has posted yet this season.
Chester relied on the efforts of Ty Cochran, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 20 rebounds, and Sydney Brock, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Brock is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Saydi Handley, who scored six points along with five rebounds and two steals.
High Island's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Chester, their win bumped their record up to 11-14.
