The Sarasota Christian Blazers will head out on the road to challenge the Seffner Christian Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sarasota Christian has given up an average of 28.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Sarasota Christian is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They took a 40-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Out-of-Door Academy. While the Blazers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Thunder 15-6.

Despite the loss, Sarasota Christian got top-tier performance from Ben Milliken, who threw for 321 yards and four touchdowns. The Blazers are 2-1 when Milliken posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. A healthy portion of Milliken's aerial production (86 yards to be exact) went to Colton Loftus, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Even if they lost, Sarasota Christian's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Alex Dominguez was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last five games he's played.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Seffner Christian over Orangewood Christian in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Crusaders blew the Rams out of the water with a 49-13 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Crusaders had established a 22-point advantage.
Sarasota Christian better keep an eye on Kenyarda Davis. He was instrumental in Seffner Christian's win, rushing for 211 yards and a pair of scores. Davis really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run. Another player making a difference was Keion Moore, who rushed for 88 yards and one TD on only ten carries.
Seffner Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 345 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Seffner Christian, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Davis, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Seffner Christian's record now sits at 4-1. As for Sarasota Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Sarasota Christian has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 277.7 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Seffner Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 116.6 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?
Sarasota Christian was taken down by Seffner Christian 54-13 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Blazers, Wills West (who rushed for 173 yards and five touchdowns on only ten carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
