There's no place like home for the Westminster Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They took their game at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 87-55 win over Ocean View. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Westminster had a senior duo take command as MJ Gaza scored 25 points along with three steals and two blocks and Vincent Ton scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gaza has scored all season. Kam Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals and two blocks.
When it comes to explaining why Ocean View lost, one person who can't be blamed is Blake Girotti. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Ackerman, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Westminster pushed their record up to 14-10 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.3 points per game. As for Ocean View, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-15.
Westminster does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ocean View also has no future games currently scheduled.
