Emporia got themselves on the board against Southeast on Friday, but Southeast never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Golden Buffalo. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won eight matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Emporia's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-10. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Southeast, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17-2.

Emporia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southeast, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-1 defeat against the Spartans on the 16th.
