Mount Anthony is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Drury, who was ranked 25th in their home state at the time (Mount Anthony was ranked fourth). The Patriots walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Blue Devils two weeks ago.

Colby Hill was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Sean Moriarty was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Jacoby Dicranian, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Mount Greylock Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against Hampshire Regional, falling 9-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mounties have suffered since May 16, 2024.
Mount Greylock Regional saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jameson Bayliss, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
Mount Greylock Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Mount Anthony, their record now sits at 5-2-1.
Mount Greylock Regional's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Mount Anthony has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .454. It's a different story for Mount Greylock Regional, though, as they've only averaged .352. Will they be able to contain Mount Anthony's hitters?
Mount Anthony skirted past Mount Greylock Regional 5-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
