Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was MAYSON THOMAS, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. THOMAS is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games he's played. AIDAN MADRIGAL was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Pieper struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Pieper's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 17-9. As for Wagner, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.
Pieper will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Veterans Memorial at 6:30 p.m. Veterans Memorial is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 21 games. As for Wagner, they will head out on the road to square off against Smithson Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Smithson Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 337th, while Wagner is ranked 76th).
