The Isle of Wight Academy Chargers lost against the StoneBridge Cavaliers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Isle of Wight Academy was outmatched by StoneBridge on the road and fell 66-32. Isle of Wight Academy has not had much luck with StoneBridge recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
It was another big night for Jeremy Wells, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and five steals for StoneBridge. Another player making a difference was Douglas Marshall, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Isle of Wight Academy's defeat was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-12. As for StoneBridge, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Isle of Wight Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Brunswick Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. One thing working in Brunswick Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches. As for StoneBridge, they will head out on the road to challenge Gateway Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
