Bayfield took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Ignacio by a score of 6-2.
Austin Wilmer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has become a key player for Bayfield: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-9 otherwise.
