Port Chester hasn't had much luck against Ossining recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Port Chester Rams will challenge the Ossining Pride at 4:30 p.m.

Port Chester might have lost, but man, Elise Thomas was a machine: she dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 boards. Thomas has been hot, having posted ten or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Karah Provenzano was another key player, putting up nine points and six boards.
Even though they lost, Port Chester smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Ossining waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They had just enough and edged the Quakers out 82-79. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pride have posted since December 6, 2024.
Port Chester better focus on containing Claire Schnecker and Saniya Bell as the pair were huge in Ossining's win. Schnecker dropped a double-double on 32 points and 15 rebounds, while Bell dropped a double-double on 28 points and 15 steals. The dominant performance gave Schnecker a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Sophia Torrieri, who posted six points and seven assists.
Ossining is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.5 points per game. As for Port Chester, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Port Chester has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 33.4 boards per game. However, it's not like Ossining struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Port Chester took a serious blow against Ossining when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 72-32. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Schnecker, who had 26 points along with seven boards and four steals. Now that Port Chester knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
