The Odyssey Institute Minotaur will head out on the road to face off against the Dysart Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Odyssey Institute is ranked 128th, while Dysart is ranked 121st).
Last Friday, Odyssey Institute didn't have too much trouble with River Valley on the road as they won 28-14.
Meanwhile, Dysart had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 53 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 62-16 victory over Page. The result was nothing new for Dysart, who have now won four matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Dysart's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Avion Bailey, who picked up 159 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and Kye Brown, who rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Brown is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Noah Ramirez made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Their wins bumped Odyssey Institute to 4-4 and Dysart to 5-3.
Odyssey Institute was able to grind out a solid victory over Dysart in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, winning 25-14. Does Odyssey Institute have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dysart turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
