Even though Cesar Chavez has not done well against Browne recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Cesar Chavez won by a goal and slipped past Browne 2-1.
Meanwhile, Maricopa has not won a game since December 11, 2023, a trend which continued on Wednesday. They were the victim of a tough 4-0 loss at the hands of Shadow Ridge. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Maricopa has suffered yet this season.
Cesar Chavez's victory bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Maricopa, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4-2 record this season.
