It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Aquinas Falcons had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Stallions and snuck past 53-50. Winning may never get old, but Aquinas sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
San Juan Hills lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mason Hodges, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 19 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Brosch, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Aquinas has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. As for San Juan Hills, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-11.
Aquinas will square off against Culver City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Culver City has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. San Juan Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
