The Quitman Bulldogs''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Arp 47-16. Quitman has struggled against Arp recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Frank Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Arp, throwing for 339 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also punching in three touchdowns on the ground. Smith is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Bourque, who picked up 211 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Quitman's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Arp, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Quitman will head out on the road to face off against West Rusk at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Rusk will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Arp, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Edgewood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Edgewood is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
