They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 57-30 win over Creekside. Beachside has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 24 points or more this season.
Beachside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madilyn (Madi) Ray led the charge by almost dropping a triple-double on 12 points, 13 rebounds, and nine blocks. Ray is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Cremen, who scored eight points along with nine steals and six assists.
Beachside's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.9 points per game. As for Creekside, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Beachside will square off against Bartram Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bartram Trail has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 21. As for Creekside, they will head out on the road to square off against Tocoi Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Tocoi Creek is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.6 points per game.
