The Mountain View Bruins lost against the Provo Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The contest between Mountain View and Provo wasn't particularly close, with Mountain View falling 68-53.
Despite the defeat, Mountain View saw an underclassman step up: Bryce Mella scored 21 points along with five assists and two steals. Mella hasn't dropped below 19 points for four straight games. Simeon Suguturaga was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Jason Carter was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds for Provo. Carter is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trey Johnson, who scored 16 points.
Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Provo, they pushed their record up to 16-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Provo also has no future games currently scheduled.
