Bend won the last time they faced Summit and things went their way on Friday too. The Lava Bears were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Storm. The result was nothing new for the Lava Bears, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
Emily Lauerman was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lauren Glasser, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Bend now has a winning record of 10-9-1. As for Summit, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11-1 record this season.
