The Bear Grass Charter Bears suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Hobgood Charter by a score of 41-39. Bear Grass Charter was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hobgood Charter apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2022.
Hobgood Charter found their leader in underclassman Khrie Rascoe, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Bear Grass Charter's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-8. As for Hobgood Charter, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bear Grass Charter will take on Mattamuskeet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mattamuskeet is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Hobgood Charter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cape Hatteras at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
