Basketball Recap: Joseph Perkins Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Mcnair

On Saturday, the Lathrop Spartans earned a 59-47 victory over the McNair Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Lathrop's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joseph Perkins led the charge by going 8 of 15 on his way to 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Perkins' afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caiden Wisnieski, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards.

Lathrop's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-10. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for McNair, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lathrop will head out to square off against Central Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lathrop is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.3 points per game this season.
