Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Sherando's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Sherando had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Millbrook on Wednesday. The Warriors never let the Pioneers get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pioneers, too.

Sherando is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Millbrook, they moved to 6-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Sherando is set to face off against their familiar foe Kettle Run at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 3, the Cougars 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Millbrook will take on rival Brentsville District at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
