It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Doral Academy Firebirds had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Falcons, posting a 82-35 win at home. Doral Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 20 points or more this season.
Doral Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Stephanie Vega led the charge by scoring 15 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Deleon, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Doral Academy pushed their record up to 20-7 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.0 points per game. As for Flanagan, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.
Doral Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Flanagan also has no future games currently scheduled.
