The Apopka Christian Academy Lions on the road again on Friday and play against the Bridge to Independence Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Apopka Christian Academy suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 38-16 defeat at the hands of Innovation Montessori. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Apopka Christian Academy has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Bridge to Independence's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They lost to North Kissimmee Christian on the road by a decisive 91-75 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Monday (61), Bridge to Independence still had to take the loss.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jaydan Jeantinord, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jvarius Gibson, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds.
Apopka Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Bridge to Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
