Basketball Recap: Addision Fuhr Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Ida Baker

Dunbar lost to Ida Baker back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Dunbar Tigers enjoyed a cozy 54-35 win over the Ida Baker Bulldogs. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Dunbar's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addision Fuhr led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. Fuhr has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Deziar Davenport was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.

Dunbar was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ida Baker only racked up two assists.

When it comes to explaining why Ida Baker lost, don't look at Maia Berdebes. Despite the final result, she posted 17 points and five rebounds.

Dunbar's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Ida Baker, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Babcock the next time they take the court. Dunbar will head out to face Babcock at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while Ida Baker will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
