The Radford Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Carroll County on the road and fell 91-23. While losing is never fun, Radford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Carroll County is ranked 26th).
Radford lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Claire Fender, who scored eight points.
Radford has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Carroll County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-3.
Radford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-45 defeat vs. Alleghany on the 12th. Carroll County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
